The Android 1.6 phone will be the first Verizon Wireless handset that utilizes Motoblur user interface technology, which is a nerdy way of saying the phone will give you easy and seamless access to Twitter, and Facebook in a live-streaming capacity.

Status updates, messaging, and email are all integrated into the desktop for easy access.  Devour will be released in March, 2010–so it’s not too far away.

Here’s what the Motorola Devour’s got for ya:

3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, 320×480 pixels (resolution is comparable to the iPhone)

Touch-sensitive navigation pad

8GB microSD card

Bluteooth

3 megapixel camera with digital zoom (supposedly)

The phone ships with Android 1.6, but there will very likely be an update to 2.1

A Verizon Voice and Data plan will be necessary along with purchase of the Devour.

At this point, pricing hasn’t been talked about, but will most likely be in the $199.99 range, placing it against comparable devices.
