Straight Talk Wireless makes a very bold claim on its website. The company claims that if you use Straight Talk phones, you can save $850 off of your cell phone bill over the course of the year.
Wouldn’t that be ridiculously awesome if you could save that much? I think I would buy myself a new bike or surf board or take a trip somewhere if I knew I was going to have an extra 800 bucks lying around.
It obviously depends on your current cell phone costs how much you would save using a Straight Talk phone, but it is true that both of the prepaid plans the company offers look very attractive.
For $30 a month you get 1,000 minutes and 1,000 texts.
For $45 a month, you get unlimited talk, text–AND web!!! Unlimited web browsing is what throws this plan over the edge for me, but not everyone needs to browse the web form their phone.
I like a few of Straight Talk’s phones as well, including Samsung Finesse and Samsung r355c. I also hold the RAZR in a special place in my heart–not sure why, I guess I just like the phone.
If you’re looking for a way to save money, have a look at the prepaid phones from Straight Talk.

Picking the best prepaid company is sort of like picking out the best car. Everyone has their own opinions and it’s true that many wireless companies provide better service in different parts of the country.

While some may think Straight Talk is the best prepaid company, you may find quite a few who think Boost Mobile or MetroPCS has the best plans in the biz. It really depends on personal experience.
Everyone has had a terrible customer service experience and came out hating the company that provided the customer service. Opinions on companies can be shaped very quickly.
Some people I talk to say that Straight Talk is the best wireless providers they’ve been with, while others have complained about customer service from the company.
But then again, I’ve never found a wireless provider that is complaint free. One thing I know about the cellular services business is that everyone complains about customer service.
Straight Talk Wireless is available in Wal-Mart locations and online. Buying online is the best option because I have heard that Wal-Mart does not always have the phone models people want to buy. If you buy a Straight Talk phone online, you will most likely get the handset you want.
Straight Talk Wireless might just have the prepaid cell phone plan you’re looking for.
Let’s do a quick run-through of what Straight Talk has to offer.
First of all, there are two plans you can purchase. The first one is the $30 All You Need prepaid phone plan, which will give you 1,000 minutes of talk time, ample web browsing (if you use your phone to access the internet), and 1,000 text messages. At $30, this plan has a lot of value, especially when compared to some of the contract plans out there. There isn’t a contract plan that matches up.

The second plan, and the real star here, is the Unlimited Plan, which does not just have a clever name–it is actually an unlimited plan. With this plan, you get to use your phone as much as you want for voice, text, and web browsing. That’s right–with this plan, you get UNLIMITED web browsing, talk time, and texting.
In addition, both plans run on Verizon’s very strong prepaid network and also include unlimited 411 calls (which is a big money-saver in its own right). See more details about Straight Talk’s prepaid plans (at the official site). Visit StraightTalk.com
If you’re looking for a very affordable plan that offers a lot of features, then have a closer look at Straight Talk’s prepaid plans. Chances are, they have more to offer than most plans out there.
If you’re looking for a smartphone on a prepaid plan, have a look at Straight Talk’s Samsung Finesse. Read more about the Finesse phone.
The Samsung r451c was added to the Straight Talk wireless prepaid lineup a few months ago and has proven to be a good option for people looking for a solid (if very basic) cell phone to use with a prepaid phone plan.

Samsung r451c will get done what you need it to get done–all while helping you save money with your Straight Talk prepaid plan. Straight Talk has two plans.
The $45 plan gives you unlimited talk time, text messages, web browsing, and a strong network (Verizon!).
The $30 plan gives you 1,000 minutes of talk time, 1,000 text messages, and 30 mb of web browsing. Let’s be honest, this plan gives you quite a bit, so unless you are a heavy talker, you will probably not need to spring for the unlimited plan.
But if you find that you need more talk time and want to browse more than 350 pages on the Internet (which is approximately what 30 mb of data will give you), then pay the extra $15 for the unlimited plan, which is still one of the best deals in the wireless market.
$45 for unlimited phone use is an absolute steal. $30 is an amazing deal as well for what you get. You almost can’t go wrong.

More on Straight Talk:
One of the questions about the Samsung Finesse is if it will win any new customers for the prepaid wireless company Straight Talk.
Straight Talk Wireless, a subsidiary of TracFone recently added the Finesse to its lineup to punch it up and entice more tech-savvy customers to consider Straight Talk’s wireless service.
Check out the Samsung Finesse at www.straighttalk.com, the official site.

Part of the appeal of the Finesse r810c is that it is a smartphone with a large touchscreen and a nice look. The phone itself has been compared to the iPhone, even though the two devices are not that similar. Samsung Finesse may encourage a lot of new signups to Straight Talk Wireless’ prepaid plans, but then again, it might not.
One of the reasons the phone might attract new people to prepaid is that it is a fun phone. It is not the most feature-rich smartphone out there, but it still has a lot more functionality than most other “prepaid” phones. Part of the problem with the pay as you go marketplace versus the postpaid marketplace is poor phone availability.
With the guaranteed money of a contract plan, a postpaid wireless company can afford to subsidize the cost of an expensive hot new cellular phone handset. In prepaid, it’s not quite the same. The customer generally has to pay for the nicer phones—if there are any available. That is the case with Straight Talk’s Samsung Finesse r810c, which invites one of the major reasons people may not be interested in this phone, although there will be plenty who can afford it.
The Finesse’s $300 cost may turn people off to the phone since the general idea with prepaid phones and plans is that they save money for customers. A nice phone is almost the antithesis of a prepaid plan. But times are changing. This smartphone, which is priced similarly to many other smartphones is meant to attract a different type of customer—not necessarily the penny-pinching prepaid user of the past.

This new customer (who may shell out $300 for the Samsung Finesse) wants a high-priced phone with more functionality. The fact that the plan is a prepaid one and saves money is really almost the second concern. Sure, price is always an issue, but this customer will spend more to have a phone they can show off and play with.
Traditional prepaid phones tend not to be that amazing. They tend to be basic but solid, which fits right into the ethos of the “pay as you go” world.
One reason people may buy the Samsung smartphone is they will recoup the expense rather quickly as the months go by. Straight Talk’s service only costs $30 or $45 per month.
Another reason is that with the unlimited plan from Straight Talk, customers are granted unlimited web browsing. Finesse has a much better web browser than any other phone offered by the wireless company and is the only one with a touchscreen. Web browsing is becoming more of a factor in cell phone purchasing decisions as the days go by.
The $30 All You Need Plan is the 1,000 minute and 1,000 text plan. The $45 Unlimited plan gives users unlimited talk time, unlimited text messages sent and received, unlimited web browsing (which will be extremely useful with the Finesse since it has a nice browser), and unlimited 411 calls.

Samsung Finesse was all the rage a week or so back, but the question now is, will the smartphone really do that much for Straight Talk Wireless’ prepaid plans?
It’s really a question that is up in the air at this point. Looking at the Finesse, it is a very nice and functional phone, but it is not really that amazing.
Don’t get me wrong, I do like the phone, but it seems that the hype was a little overstated. Still, if you do want to use Straight Talk’s Unlimited prepaid plan (which costs only $45 per month for unlimited everything) and you want to use it with a better phone than the standard prepaid handsets, the Samsung Finesse r810c may be a good option for you.

TracFone has a good deal on a prepaid phone plan and phone. The current deal is for a Motorola 376G (refurbished phone) and Double Minutes for Life for a total of $19.99.
The Motorola 376G is a nice phone and will work well with TracFone’s affordable prepaid service. Double Minutes for Life is one of the best ways to save money on your prepaid cell phone bills. For every minute you purchase, you get one free.
The savings really adds up. As an added bonus, people who purchase this deal also get a free skinit cell phone protective cover. The unlimited prepaid phone plan from Straight Talk Wireless is extremely competitive–just like the $30 plan–and is probably a very good option for power cell phone users or anyone who wants to save money on their cell phone bills.
And here’s the kicker: the plan is only $45 per month. And for this sum of money subscribers to this plan from Straight Talk receive unlimited talk time, unlimited text messages, unlimited web browsing, and unlimited 411 information calls.

Furthermore, the plan runs on Verizon’s network, which means you won’t be dropping calls. Unlimited everything for the price is what makes the plan from Straight Talk Wireless a winner. My only question at this point, is how long can they offer this steal?
If you’re looking for a new cell phone plan that will help you save some cash and will give you dependable service and a strong, nationwide network, check out Straight Talk’s Unlimited prepaid plan.
One other bonus with this plan that I just noticed on the company website is that if you sign up before the end of the year and then continue with the plan for a year, you will receive a free month of service at the end of that time period. It’s a ways away, but still, it’s a nice little bonus!

Straight Talk Wireless is one of the premiere prepaid wireless service providers. It’s not only that the company is owned by TracFone, which is a company dedicated to providing low-cost prepaid service.
And it’s not only that Straight Talk Wireless runs on Verizon’s network, which is the strongest and most reliable in the country.
It’s also that what you get for the price.
$30 per month gets you 1,000 minutes of airtime and the same amount in text messages. You also get 3o MB of data usage.
$45 per month gets you unlimited everything: talk time, text message, web browsing, and unlimited 411 calls. How about that for service?
Both plans are very good deals and the one you choose would depend on how heavy a cell phone user you are.
Straight Talk Wireless is also giving users who sign up for the plan before December 31st a free month of talk time. Learn more about how to get the free month of airtime from Straight Talk at Prepaid Phone Guide.
It is a nice bonus for subscribers who stay on board for 12 months and auto debit their payments. Sure, that seems like a long time away, but for people who need a new prepaid plan, it might be a good thing to take advantage of.
