Rumors have been swirling around on the internet–at least in semi-nerdy cell phone circles–as to whether or not Straight Talk Wireless would be adding a touch screen smartphone to its phone options for use with its prepaid plans.
It’s been revealed that the Samsung Finesse r810 is available for use with Straight Talk service–which is a great thing for those who like high end phones but want one of the best plans in the prepaid market. There are many out there who are deterred from going prepaid due to poor phone selection. At $299, Samsung Finesse R810 is not cheap, but it may appeal to the segment of phone users who don’t hesitate at dropping cash for a solid, fun, smartphone with a functional touch screen.
The Finesse R810 is similar to the iPhone in that it has a large color touch screen, but beyond that, there really is not much similarity. The phone uses EVDO technology for transferring data, so it is much faster than many of the other available Straight Talk cell phones.
