3/1/2012 – Straight Talk will be releasing its new Android phone, the LG Optimus 2x very soon. This phone boasts 4G speeds, has a great screen, a dual-core processor so it’s very fast, an 8 megapixel camera that captures images (and video) in stunning 1080p, and a bunch more features. Read my review of this phone here.
2/23/2012 – Here are the latest deals for Straight Talk prepaid phones:
Get a free LG 220C, LG 420G, or Motorola W418G flip phone when you buy a $45 Unlimited month service plan or a $30 All You Need service plan. All You Need consists of 1,000 minutes and 1,000 text messages, and 30 mb of data usage.
2/11/2012 – Straight Talk is now selling SIM cards and Micro SIM cards (both only $14.99), which means that you can start legally using third party phones with Straight Talk’s Unlimited plan. And yes, for those of you wondering, it means that there is now such a thing as a Straight Talk iPhone. Read this post for more information about this cool development.
2/5/2012 – It’s been announced the a new Straight Talk android phone, the LG Optimus 2X will be released very soon. In fact, you can reserve your LG Optimus 2X at the official website. This will be the best phone on ST up until now, so needless to say, it’s going to be a big seller.
2/4/2012 – Two free phones available at the website. One is the Motorola W418g (reconditioned). The second is the LG 420g. I would probably go with the LG 420g since it is not a refurbished handset. You can choose either of the two Straight Talk plans to go with your free phone. You have to pay for one month of service in order to get the free phone. See both phones at the official website, where you will be presented with all the free phones that are on offer right now when you navigate over to the “Shop for Phones” section on the website. Go to the official webpage and put in your zip code to see which phones are available with this offer in your region. Straight Talk always has at least one or two really good deals going on at any given moment.
1/29/2012 – Samsung t404G reconditioned phone available for $20 at the official site. This is a decent phone and a pretty darn good price available right now at Straight Talk.
1/27/2012 – There are still some free phones available when you buy the first month of service (either unlimited or basic plan). In most areas, there are two or three phones to choose from. Right now, the Motorola w318g is available with this great deal. I mean, it’s a free phone. Come on people!
12/14/2011 – The promo code DROIDUP saves $25 off the purchase price of Straight Talk’s first Android phone, Samsung Galaxy Precedent, at the official website. Just put the code in the promo code field in the shopping cart. This code no longer works unfortunately, but the phone has been reduced in price, cancelling the need for this coupon anyways!
12/8/2011 – The Motorola W418G has been added to the list of free Straight Talk phones that you can get with one month of paid service. This is a good deal because you need to pay for service either way, so if you want to save even more on a phone, you can choose from the three free phones available.
12/7/2011 – I have one more update regarding the Nokia E71 refurbished phone. You can get this phone, which previously cost $99 for only $49. Get this deal at the website. See link above. There are some other great deals available from TracFone. Now, this deal is for a BRAND NEW Nokia E71, not just a refurbished version. Get the Nokia E71 for only $49 today brand new.
12/4/20112 – This is about a week or two old, but I figured I’d mention it here in case you haven’t heard that the Nokia E71 and the Nokia 6790 are now being sold for $149 each. This is the cheapest these phones have been since they were released for Straight Talk. You can also get one of these two phone models for $99 refurbished.
12/2/2011 – In some markets (mine included), Straight Talk is offering two free phones with the purchase of one month of service (either the unlimited $45 plan of the 1,000 minute and text $30 plan). The two phones are reconditioned LG 420G and LG 620G. There are two new free phones available at the official website. To take advantage of this deal all you need to do is go the site and look at the phone page and see the list of phones available right now. You will see the two phones marked as “free.” These phones will be free when you pay for one month of service (either $30 or $45 depending on your selected plan).
11/29/2011 – In some markets, you can currently save $20 on the price of the LG 900G Straight Talk phone and also get free shipping. There are also a few free phones available right now, including the Motorola w418g. Also, if you already have a phone and want to use it with the unlimited Straight Talk Tracfone plan, you can now get a simcard that will make this possible for you. The simcards cost $14.99 at the official website. This has been a nice development because you can now essentially have a Straight Talk iPhone. It’s kind of amazing that you can use the unlimited plan with many different phones now. You can use the SimCards with most GSM phones. Put the power of these plans in your own phone and start saving money every month too! You can now have a Straight Talk-powered iPhone! It’s true.
11/28/2011 – Straight Talk currently has some Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Holiday offers going on. There are three discounted phones available at the website, but this is only half the offer. The real prize here is that with these phones, you get a huge discount on the Straight Talk unlimited plan. Instead of paying $45 per month for unlimited use, you only pay $30 as long as you enroll in auto-pay, which you would probably do anyway. Straight Talk’s latest move to bring the LG Optimus Black to its phone lineup (originally it looked like it was going to be the LG Optimus 2x) is an exciting move. There are now three nice prepaid Android from which prepaid users can choose. Most of these phones run on the Sprint prepaid network, but if you are in an area that only utilizes Verizon, you can use the newest Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy Proclaim, which is a very nice phone at a great price. ZTE Merit was also released recently. AT $129, it’s the cheapest available Android phone on Tracfone’s Straight Talk service. Samsung Precedent is also priced at the same price point.
All of these Androids are currently available for sale at the official site. Go and have a look at them!! Tracfone Straight Talk and Net10 has some things in common. Currently, Net10 has a few Android devices available too. Like ST, they have the Optimus Black. It’s the best phone in Net10′s lineup as it is in ST’s. ST seems to be a more popular brand of phone, however. Some reasons for this may be that its unlimited plan is cheaper and there are more commercials for their phones and it is more prominently sold in Walmart locations across the country.
There’s a new phone available from Straight Talk–it’s LG Optimus Zip and it’s a really cool phone. Between this and the Samsung Proclaim, it’s a dog fight for which phone is my fave.

Want three reconditioned t404g samsung phones from straight talk. I know I have seen them on their website before, when will they post them again?
Janet – I just checked the site and I only see the t404g brand new phone for sale, not reconditioned. The only thing you can do is check back frequently to see if that particular phone offer comes back to Straight Talk. They change offers so often that it is likely to reappear soon. I’ve seen that particular offer several times this year already — keep your eyes peeled and check back at the official site. I hope that helps.
