2/11/2012 – Straight Talk is now selling SIM cards and Micro SIM cards (both only $14.99), which means that you can start legally using third party phones with Straight Talk’s Unlimited plan.  And yes, for those of you wondering, it means that there is now such a thing as a Straight Talk iPhone.  Read this post for more information about this cool development.

2/5/2012 – It’s been announced the a new Straight Talk android phone, the LG Optimus 2X will be released very soon.  In fact, you can reserve your LG Optimus 2X at the official website.  This will be the best phone on ST up until now, so needless to say, it’s going to be a big seller.

2/4/2012 – Two free phones available at the website.  One is the Motorola W418g (reconditioned).  The second is the LG 420g.  I would probably go with the LG 420g since it is not a refurbished handset.  You can choose either of the two Straight Talk plans to go with your free phone.  You have to pay for one month of service in order to get the free phone.  See both phones at the official website.

1/29/2012 – Samsung t404G reconditioned phone available for $20 at the official site.  This is a decent phone and a pretty darn good price available right now at Straight Talk.

1/27/2012 – There are still some free phones available when you buy the first month of service (either unlimited or basic plan).  In most areas, there are two or three phones to choose from.

12/14/2011 – The promo code DROIDUP saves $25 off the purchase price of Straight Talk’s first Android phone, Samsung Galaxy Precedent, at the official website.  Just put the code in the promo code field in the shopping cart.

12/8/2011 – The Motorola W418G has been added to the list of free Straight Talk phones that you can get with one month of paid service.  This is a good deal because you need to pay for service either way, so if you want to save even more on a phone, you can choose from the three free phones available.

12/7/2011 – I have one more update regarding the Nokia E71 refurbished phone.  You can get this phone, which previously cost $99 for only $49.  Get this deal at the website.  See link above.

12/4/20112 – This is about a week or two old, but I figured I’d mention it here in case you haven’t heard that the Nokia E71 and the Nokia 6790 are now being sold for $149 each.  This is the cheapest these phones have been since they were released for Straight Talk.  You can also get one of these two phone models for $99 refurbished.

12/2/2011 – In some markets (mine included), Straight Talk is offering two free phones with the purchase of one month of service (either the unlimited $45 plan of the 1,000 minute and text $30 plan).  The two phones are reconditioned LG 420G and LG 620G.  See if this deal is available in your area at StraightTalk.com

11/29/2011 – In some markets, you can currently save $20 on the price of the LG 900G Straight Talk phone and also get free shipping.

11/28/2011 – Straight Talk currently has some Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Holiday offers going on.  There are three discounted phones available at the website, but this is only half the offer.  The real prize here is that with these phones, you get a huge discount on the Straight Talk unlimited plan.  Instead of paying $45 per month for unlimited use, you only pay $30 as long as you enroll in auto-pay, which you would probably do anyway.
