The best available phone right now is LG Optimus Black. It has a beautiful bright touchscreen, a fast processor (so your phone can do multiple things at once), and a handy 5 megapixel camera and video recorder. The Nokia 6790 is one of the new Straight Talk phones that has recently been released.  It is a legitimate smart phone and Straight Talk is claiming that this phone, in addition to the Nokia E71, is one of its first smart phones to be used on the Straight Talk plans.  And this is after the Samsung Finesse has basically been phased out since it’s a pretty old phone.

So the two new phones give the Straight Talk lineup of cell phones a definite boost in terms of quality.  Most prepaid phones are not that attractive and this is something that sets Straight Talk wireless apart from other companies.  It tends to have decent to very nice phones.

Nokia 6790 is available for use with the Straight Talk Unlimited plan, which at $45 per month, is a solid plan for people who use a lot of talk time and text a lot.  It also comes with unlimited web browsing and data transfer, which is another plus for the people who like to stay “connected.”  Keep in mind that this plan runs on Verizon’s prepaid network, which is a good thing.

The Nokia 6790 smartphone comes with a slider keyboard (full qwerty), which works well in conjunction with the instant messaging function that is prevalent on the phone.  You can access multiple email accounts if necessary right from your phone.  If you need directions somewhere you can use the voice-guide navigation which comes as a free element with this phone.

You may also be interested in the new Nokia E5 phone, which is the latest addition to the Straight Talk family.  Nokia E71 and Samsung t528g (the only current touch screen phone) were both released right around the same day.  This means that there are now three new phones to consider from this company.  Options are always a good thing unless you suffer from analysis paralysis.  If you’re interested in getting Straight Talk’s unlimited service with another phone–say an iPhone–then you are now in luck, as you can now buy simcards from this company that can be used by third party phones.

There’s One More New Android

The Samsung Galaxy Proclaim was just released and added to Straight Talk’s website. It’s an Android phone with a 3.5 inch touch screen, a 3 megapixel camera, GPS, and an unlimited plan.  It’s a solid phone that runs on the Verizon prepaid network, which is a fact that opens up the Straight Talk unlimited Android plan to a lot more people.

What once was the only solution to people with bad credit, in the last couple of years has become a matter of choice. More and more people every day are finding “prepaid” cell phone service more attractive than two-year contract based cell phone service. Even with popular cell phones as the iPhone and the Droid are that big postpaid companies offer, people are still choosing the largest prepaid provider in the US TracFone Wireless Inc.

Agreements with about 30 different wireless carriers nationwide like AT&T, Verizon, Alltel and T-Mobile are add to their affordable and more attractive service for 12 million subscribers. And will they stop? A limited number of handsets, mostly priced under 50 dollars, vary in different areas because of different networks that they operate on. Tracfone works on a refill cards system. You pay $9.99 for the 30 minute card, $19.99 for the 60 minute, $29.99 for the 120 minute card, $39.99 200 minute card and $79.99 for the 450 minute card.

The best offer of all from Tracfone is a Double Minutes for Life card for $49.99, which doubles your minutes on every single card that you might purchase in the future. This is very useful offer and users should pay attention to some of the phones that have this card already built-in in their system. Text messaging rates differ on various phones. They go from 3 to 5 units with the possibility to have free receiving text massage or to be charged the same rate as for sending it. In order to make a international calls you will have to purchase a prepaid international long distance calling card that will allow 1-800 dialing access.

Net10 Easy Minutes comes with the simplest possible plan since all minutes cost 10 cents. Refilling method can be done by purchasing and activating card for 30, 60, or 100 dollars that expire after some time, by automatic refill when Net10 charges your credit card or by Airtime On Demand directly from your NET10 phone. Net 10 works anywhere in the US where Verizon, Alltel, At&t, T-Mobile or US Cellular is available but to be able to make international calls, you need to contact customer service and activate a special International service. Sending or receiving text messages will cost you 5 cents per message but with more expensive phones, this rate is cheaper. Very simple plan and very affordable one.

One of the newest Tracfone’s brands is Straight Talk and it turn out to be one of the most popular. Prepaid plans that Straight Talk offers are very attractive and are based on two different values paid for 30-day period. One plan is $30 Straight Talk Plan that comes with limited service of 1,000 minutes of talk time, 1,000 texting and 30 MB of data usage.

For those who talk and text more than $30 plan offers, they can choose a $45 Straight Talk Unlimited plan. With this amount paid every month, everything is unlimited so you can talk and text as much as you want. Prepaid phones that these plans work with range from $30-$100, with the exception of Samsung Finesse, a smartphone that costs over $300 and that can use the most of unlimited web browsing.

Safelink Wireless service is supported program by U.S. government. It is designed for low-income-eligible families and offers a free cell phone, mobile access to emergency services and free 68 minutes of airtime per month. This lasts for one year after which you must re-qualify. No choosing of phone handset is available and the features available are voicemail, text, call waiting, international calling to over 60 destinations and caller ID. If free airtime stayed unused, they will roll over but if they are spent before the month ends, it can be refilled by purchasing Tracfone’s Airtime Cards.  Safelink is available to only one person per family.

Tracfone’s 1-year deal is back!  Get Tracfone 1 Year of Service & 400 Minutes for only $79.99 (it usually costs $99). This is a pretty good deal if you’re looking for a tracfone handset that you plan to use over the year. One example where this would work well if for an extra or auxilliary phone that you want to have in case of emergency.

Simple Mobile is an MVNO which sells service that utilizes T-Mobile networks. Simple Mobile only sells Sim cards (no phones) and has about one million customers across the country. There is a correlation that seems to make sense here. Net10 and Straight Talk both recently started selling sim cards that allows customers to use the Unlimited plans both companies offer on third party phones like the iPhone. It stands to reason that America Movil would have interests in procuring a company that has 1 million customers buying sim cards. America Movil is buying Simple Mobile for $100 million (according to Reuters), so that works out to a $100 bounty for each of Simple Mobile’s 1 million customers.

Straight Talk Updates: You can now get the Nokia E5 smart phone on the official site at a new lower price (it is now $149 vs $199).  Reconditioned models of the hit smart phones, Nokia E71 and Nokia 6790, are now available for only $99 (regularly priced at about $60 to $70 more).  Refurbished Nokia 6790s will only cost you $49, which is a pretty good deal if you don’t mind the “refurbished” part (which I don’t).  There is a brand new Android phone, the Samsung Precedent, coming soon too.  In another promotion, ST has two free phones with purchase of one month of service.

The Samsung R451C is also available at Straight Talk for $99.99. It is a stylish slider phone design with the slider QWERTY keyboard. Buttons are spaced nicely and easy to press, which makes it excellent texting phone. The Samsung R451C is not just the best choice for those that love to text but for those who like browsing the Net too, because it has a pretty good web browser. With this phone you will be able to easily browse to most websites online that you wish (Twitter, Facebook, GMail and more).

Besides web browsing, with The Samsung R451C you will be able to take pictures with 1.3 Megapixel Camera, listen some serious music with MP3 player that posses some exceptional functions. It is equipped with on board MP3 player and a MicroSD card slot for storing up to 16 gigs of music and pictures. 1.3 mega pixel camera is also included with few functions on it own: digital zoom, night mode, white balance, mirror, multi shot, effects and self-timer capabilities. Bluetooth capability is present too and mobile web access which is great, because in this way the potential of unlimited prepaid plans with unlimited data can be used to the fullest.  This is one of my favorite phones on Straight Talk.

The important thing with Samsung phones is that there is something for everyone so it is up to you to choose according to your own needs and desires.
