TracFone is indeed releasing an Android phone which is called the LG Optimus Black and its through the TracFone sister brand Straight Talk Wireless. It’s a nice phone with a lot of cool features including a brilliantly colored screen, a 5 megapixel camera, and is app capable. Read more in this post.

I received several emails recently about TracFone Android phones. Specifically, the emails were from people asking if the rumors were true that TracFone would be coming out with an Android phone soon. Well, it’s not TracFone that has the android phone, it’s Straight Talk. But the emailers were half right because TracFone owns Straight Talk Wireless.
Straight Talk is known for its unlimited plan, which costs $45 per month and gives users all the talk time, text messages, and browsing they can use. It’s a pretty good deal. TracFone Straight Talk actually released its first Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy Precedent earlier this month. It’s a really nice phone and definitely won’t break the bank especially when paired with the Unlimited plan.
So if you were thinking that TracFone had a new Android phone coming soon, right now it’s not on the radar. We could hear news about one any day though. The way things are going in the prepaid industry, it certainly wouldn’t be surprising. You might as well look for a Net10 Android phone, Net10 of course being another company owned by TracFone.
