FYI, the Samsung Precedent is now being sold on StraightTalk.com for a new low price of $129.

The new Android phone, expected to come out in September, the Samsung Galaxy Precedent will be added to Straight Talk’s array. Straight Talk users must be thrilled these last few months for having some cool new phones to choose from, smartphone E5 and Samsung T528G touchscreen phone. This time, users can expect the smartphone that is a same class phone as Samsung Prevail from Boost Mobile but cheaper. It is available for $149,88 with a one month service for $45 unlimited plan with unlimited talk, text and data. And, of course, in order to have this phone, users are not required to sign any contracts.

Since the phone is not out yet, it is unclear on which network it operates because Straight Talk uses the T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon networks. However, since the phone’s model number M828C ends with ‘C’, it is assumed that it is CDMA instead of GSM. The sure thing about this phone is that it is filled with a bunch of mid range features that work just fine for the affordable price of the handset itself as well as monthly cost of unlimited plan.  Now that the phone is released, you can see all the details online at the official site.

The Samsung Galaxy Precedent or also known as Samsung M828C is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo operating system. It also has 800MHz processor as well as 384MB RAM, which provide this smartphone with smooth running between applications. When you add five home screens to fill up with apps that you need and the ability to deal with several apps at the same time, you get all the convenience you need.

As far as display of Precedent is concerned, it has 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touch screen with 256K colors and 320 x 480 pixels resolution. Also, it has accelerometer sensor for auto rotating the phone’s display as well as voice-based features for hands-free controlling the phone’s functions.

You can also surf the web without any problems since this phone has fully functioned web browser and is 3g capable. Also, the phone has WiFi so that is additional way to connect. Download apps, games, music and all sorts of things through the Android Market, stay in touch through messaging, emailing, instant messaging and through Facebook and Twitter. Use GPS navigation for finding your way easier and use preloaded apps from Samsung as well as from Google.

The Samsung Galaxy Precedent has a 2 megapixel camera and video recording, Bluetooth, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, microSD card slot for up to 32GB of memory, 2GB memory card included and a battery with up to 6.5 hours of talk time and 216 hours of stand-by time.

In overall, Galaxy Precedent is welcome addition for Straight Talk users since phones like this one are actually very popular among users of other prepaid providers. If you think this is the phone for you, you can pre-order it at StraightTalk.com.

The newest LG Straight Talk phone is the Optimus Black Android, which is by far the nicest Android phone this provider has had in its phone lineup yet. The phone is available for $329 with no contract and comes with the Unlimited plan ($45 per month), which provides unlimited talk, text, and web.
