The latest Straight Talk Android to appear on the website is the LG Optimus Black, a very very nice Android handset that is available with no-contract and no commitments and also comes with the famous Unlimited plan that gives you unlimited talk, text, web browsing, email, android marketplace access, and unlimited 411 calls. Pretty cool huh? Optimus Black is also really fast, boasting a 1000 mhz processor. The LG Optimus Black is available at StraightTalk.com
If you’ve been watching the prepaid business closely at all lately, then you’ve probably noticed that there are some serious new cell phones coming out these days. Prepaid phone companies are now letting their customers use smart phone, 3g phones, and even Android phones, which makes it a lot more desirable to own a prepaid phone. In addition to the fact that you have no contract and no commitments, you now can have a hot new smart phone with your plan. MetroPCS, Virgin, and T-Mobile have all jumped on this band wagon. Straight Talk is the latest company to add an Android phone to its prepaid phone talk plans. The first Straight Talk Android phone will be the Samsung Galaxy Precedent.

Evidently, the popular prepaid wireless company will be joining the ranks of the other top tier prepaid companies I mentioned above and will soon have a Straight Talk Android phone. I’m pretty excited and I know a lot of other people are (even ones who don’t select Straight Talk plans and go with another company) because the fact that these nicer high end phones are becoming compatible with prepaid plans shows that it is now a viable market for more companies to jump into. And that leads to, you guessed it, more and more new Android prepaid phones and other hot new phones being offered with no contract. Maybe we’ll see a Straight Talk iPhone released before the year is out. Well, I wouldn’t hold my breath.
The Straight Talk Android smartphone will be released in September and it’s probably going to be an event that will tip the scales in favor of Straight Talk over other prepaid providers like Cricket and Verizon Unleashed. The new phone will work with the Straight Talk Unlimited plan, which gives unlimited talk time, unlimited web access, and unlimited email and GPS for only $45 per month.
