It looks like Straight Talk is no longer selling the Samsung Finesse in its cell phone lineup, which is sort of disappointing since a lot of people love that phone. We will see what happens with that. So…..
If you’re looking for a new Straight Talk prepaid phone, my choice would be the Samsung r355c. I wrote a longer review, which you can read Here. It’s a very solid phone that goes by the nickname of “qwerty,” since the centerpiece of the phone is a prominent keyboard.
Samsung r355c greatly resembles BlackBerry style phones. It has a great look and is about as solid a phone you can buy with a prepaid plan.
The phone works with both of Straight Talk’s plans, which cost $30 for 1,000 minutes and 1,000 texts a month, and $45 for unlimited use of voice, text, and web. Both deals are very good options for people looking for prepaid plans, and since they operate on the Verizon Wireless network, they are very dependable and high quality.
