Net10, as well as other prepaid wireless providers, is known to toss out some seriously low-priced deals from year to year.

Net10 has a current deal for the Samsung T401G cell phone with 300 minutes of talk time to start and no contract for the low price of $79.99.

Depending on how much talk time you use, you may be able to get away with only spending $15 per month on your cell phone talk time with Net10 phones.

The way it works is you purchase a given amount of talk time for use over 60 days.  For example, the $30 300-minute card is good for use over a period of 60 days.  Therefore, if you used 150 minutes each month for that two month period, your cell phone bill would be only $15 per month.  And if you add talk time before the end of the cycle, you get to keep all your unused minutes from the previous cycle, which is a great thing.  Most companies don’t allow for roll-over minutes.

Net10 has some of the cheapest plans in the business–you will probably be able to save money with a phone from this company.  And even if you don’t choose the T401 phone, you may be interested in several of the other phones available.

One such phone is the Samsung R355c cell phone, which actually looks like a BlackBerry and has some of the the smooth styling of the popular smartphone.  The R355c is nicknamed the QWERTY because it has a full keypad on the lower half of the phone, which makes it great for use sending messages to friends and family.  You can’t go wrong with either of these two cell phones.

I’m going to get my son the SamsungT401G for his birthday as he has been dying for a qwerty keyboard and at $79.99 I can afford to buy it for him! I’ll buy him $30.00 worth of airtime per month (300 minutes on Net10) and the rest he will have to buy himself!

    James,

There shouldn’t be a problem porting your number to your new Net10 phone. The instructions on how to do this should be available on the website. You can also call customer support. I would recommend that you find out exactly what the process for porting your current number to a new phone before you buy a new one.

Net10 has served me pretty well in the past. I am back to a Verizon contract plan, but kind of wish I was still with a prepaid plan.
