Straight Talk recently released two new Android phones–LG Optimus Black and Samsung Galaxy Proclaim. LG Optimus Black runs on the Unlimited Straight Talk plan and is so far the nicest phone that Straight Talk has released.
Optimus Black has a 6 megapixel camera, 1 ghz processor, the unlimited plan, and access to the android marketplace. It’s a hot phone. Galaxy Proclaim runs on the Verizon network in the regions Straight Talk piggybacks on Verizon’s spectrum. This is a clutch move, as the Black and the other two Straight Talk androids only run in Sprint areas. This is the first time that a customer without Sprint connectivity has been able to use a ST Android. See both of these phones at StraightTalk.com
One Straight Talk Phone Option
Straight Talk is a pay as you go, or prepaid, phone company that has some pretty good looking offers for people looking to save money on their cell phone bills. The Samsung Finesse smartphone is one choice you have if you’re looking for a Straight Talk prepaid phone. Unfortunately, the Finesse is no longer available with these prepaid plans. It was a very popular phone, but it has been retired due to age and better available phones. But, there is a new phone out that should interest you…
Straight Talk is Now Android-Powered
The newest phone available is the Samsung Galaxy Precedent, which is a true “smart phone” and has a touch screen, lets you access email, gives you web browsing capabilities, and even lets you download apps from the Android Marketplace. In addition to this phone, which is probably the best one, there are three other new smart phones for you to choose from.

The Samsung Finesse is no longer available since it’s an older model of phone and has been retired. In addition to the Samsung Precedent Android phone, there are three brand new smart phones designed to take the place of the Finesse. The hot one right now is the Nokia E5 3g/wifi smartphone. See it in action (as well as two other smart phone options) at StraightTalk.com. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Straight Talk’s Two Plans
Who isn’t looking to save money anywhere they can? Straight Talk, which is owned by TracFone (which coincidentally also owns Net10 prepaid phones), has two cheap plans. The $30 plan is for 1,000 minutes and 1,000 text messages. It’s called the All You Need plan.
The Unlimited Straight Talk plan costs $45 and lets you use all the minutes and text messages you can handle. You also get unlimited web browsing, which is a huge perk for many people these days. Many people surf the web on their phones more than they use them to communicate.
For people who spend a lot of time online, the Samsung Finesse makes a lot of sense, since it is a touch screen phone with an html browser that is really easy to use. The Finesse is also the best phone that Straight Talk has to offer right now. It’s a smartphone and has quite a bit more high end functionality than most other prepaid phone options.
One of the weaknesses in the prepaid world is the typically poor phone selection. This is changing, however, as consumers like you and me are demanding better phones to use with our phone plans. More and more high end smartphones will be available in the prepaid world. At the moment, one of the best is the Finesse.
The New Phones
Straight Talk is doing a good job by releasing a very good selection of prepaid phones. You can get them at good prices too. The Nokia E5 is one of the top selections right now because it has a nice interface that gives you full web-browsing, email management, GPS voice-navigated directions, and many more cool options. The Nokia E71 and Nokia 6790 are both nice phones too. If you want to save some extra money, you can buy one of these two phones reconditioned for only $99 each.

Wow, they haven’t sold that phone in months. The new E71 from Nokia is far better, though it’s on ATT and not Verizon if that’s an issue for you. It’s not for me!
I agree, I have the Nokia E71 and it is AWESOME. I love it, very nice phone and is just as good as the blackberry if not better and cheaper in the plan pricing too. The E71 is the best I think
