HTC’s Droid Eris is currently being offered for a ridiculously low rate from Verizon and LetsTalk.

In fact, the Droid Eris is free with a new or continuing Verizon Wireless plan.  You also get a $50 bonus just for your trouble.  In honor of this pretty epic deal on a great touch screen Android smartphone, see five celebs who should be using a Droid Eris.

Tom Cruise

If he holds the Droid Eris’ brilliant touchscreen at an angle to the sun, Cruiser can check that million dollar smile for minor imperfections.  I’m sure Maverick carries a mirror, but just in case, there’s the Droid Eris.

Jennifer Aniston

Droid Eris’ Sense user interface will help the beautiful actress seamlessly go from checking John Mayer’s latest Tweets to browsing the web for gossip on her troubled love life.

Mickey Rourke

The once down-and-out actor can hold on to the $50 rebate he gets with the Droid Eris for his next rainy day.  The easy access to Google functions and web browsing can also provide Mickey with directions to the nearest barber.

Erin Andrews

With the Droid Eris’ 5 megapixel camera and video recorder, the ESPN reporter can turn the tables on her next would-be peeping tom.

Megan Fox

The sultry starlet should get a Droid Eris and call me!  Like, today!  I like the Eris better than Devour, which is the phone she appeared with in the Super Bowl commercial.

Hah–I don’t know if any celebrities would use this phone. I know a couple of people who have Droid Eris though. I think there are other Android phones out there with more potential.

Yeah, I’ve heard good and bad about the Eris. Clearly, there are a lot of good alternative Android phones out there. And we should see a lot more in 2011.
