The Samsung Finesse is unfortunately no longer available with Straight Talk prepaid plans (or any other companies at the moment) because it’s an older phone. It was super popular but mostly with people who didn’t have the Finesse. It had a lot of promise but was a little bit ahead of its time and did not ever fully deliver on its promise. But….there are at least three maybe four NEW STRAIGHT TALK PHONES worth considering as you “smart” prepaid phone.
The new phones are the Nokia E5, Nokia E71, and of course the brand new Straight Talk Android phone the Samsung Precedent (at least it’s made by Samsung like the Finesse–and it has a lot more power than the Finesse ever did since it runs on the Android 2.2 platform). Samsung Finesse is a pretty hot phone right now. It’s a smartphone with a twist. That twist is that it can be used on prepaid phone plans.
Both Straight Talk Wireless and MetroPCS have the Samsung Finesse in their phone lineups. The phone is a little on the expensive side–but hey, it’s a smartphone! A lot of prepaid users (and perhaps people who were skeptical of the phone selection for prepaid plans) have gravitated toward the Finesse.
It’s a very cool phone with a highly functional and brilliantly colored touchscreen. One place where you can buy the Samsung Finesse online is on eBay. You can sometimes find very good deals on prepaid cell phones at the site.
Why is it smart to buy a prepaid phone on eBay? Since you don’t have to sign a contract on prepaid plans with Straight Talk or MetroPCS (or any other prepaid providers for that matter), you can use any compatible handset and just add talk time to it.
