Update: I wanted to update this post with some of the new promotions and phone releases going on with Straight Talk. Read them immediately below.
New Phones
There are four new cell phones available right now at the official online site. Three are smart phones and the fourth is a touch screen phone–all are good phones and are the top options for this company. The touch screen phone (Samsung t528g) only costs $99. The three smartphones (Nokia E5, Nokia 6790, and Nokia E71) all cost $199.

Free Straight Talk Phones
In addition, right now, there are two free phones available. They are obviously not going to be as nice as the four new phones I mentioned above, but they’re free right? The way you get the phone is by purchasing one month of service and you get the phone thrown in for no price. This is for someone who doesn’t really care about what kind of phone they have.
Save Money by Pre-Paying
If you want to save even more money with Straight Talk, you can do so by paying for one year of service up front. You will save $40 over the year, which I guess really isn’t that much, but it’s something. I don’t know that it’s worth committing yourself for one year in order to save $40, but that’s your call.
Straight Talk Nokia E5
The Straight Talk Nokia E5 is a very cool new phone that has had much speculation surrounding its arrival. People weren’t sure when it was going to come out, but all of a sudden, there is was posted on the official website phone page next to the Nokia E71 and Nokia 6790. See this phone at the official website and see if you think it’s the best phone ST has right now.
Straight Talk Wireless has two plans–both of which are good options. The first Straight Talk prepaid phone plan costs $30 and is referred to as the “All You Need” plan. With this plan, users gets 1,000 minutes of talk time. They also get 1,000 text messages to send. 411 calls are free with this plan, which can add up to good savings. And last but not least, this plan comes with 30 mb of data for web browsing.
The second plan is Straight Talk’s Unlimited plan. At a price point of $45, this plan is a steal of a deal. Subscribers to this plan get unlimited talk time. They get unlimited text messages. Like the other plan, users get unlimited 411 calling. Perhaps the best thing this plan comes with is unlimited web browsing.
Both plans run on Verizon’s network (through a partnership between the two companies), which means you get great coverage with a Straight Talk plan.

I GOT THE SLIDE VIRGIN OG STRAIGHT TALK AND IT IS AWSOME!!
I wanted the samsung finesse but I could not find it on the site anymore. I don’t know which phone to go with now, but I will probably choose one of the least expensive straight talk phones. the smart phones look good too, but I’m not sure.
Hey ted, I know, I think they must’ve discontinued the Finesse. However, in the smartphone category, I can highly recommend the nokia 6790. I think its even better than the Finesse! Great web browser, mp3 player and screen!
Hey Ted, would just like to add that Straight Talk has another smart phone model, the Nokia E71. Also, qwerty keyboard, 3.2 megapixel camera, and can really handle the demands of heavy internet usage and email. Kind of looks like a blackberry, but you certainly don’t need a contract to get it.
My kids have had no problems with the sinesse from Straight Talk or the Verizon network…I think there are just the occasional dud phones and it’s just plain bad luck if you get one…I’m? sure WalMart wouldn’t have Straight Talk exclusive to their stores if they didn’t believe in the product!
A friend of mine has the Nokia E71 and I LOVE the look of it in person. I really think it looks like a blackberry as well. He has had no problems with it and said it works great.
