Safelink Wireless, a program run by TracFone wireless (one of the country’s most popular prepaid proviers), is now available to over 570,000 low-income residents of Louisiana.
The Safelink plan, which is an extension of the Reagan-era Lifeline plan designed to provide means of communication to people and families who may not be able to afford it, provides those who qualify in Louisiana with 68 minutes of cellular talk time and a free wireless phone
