Leading No-Contract Phone Plan Providers: Straight Talk, TracFone, and More

Get the LG Optimus Black Android with Unlimited Monthly Plan with only $45!

Over the past year or so a bunch of great cell phone plans have launched that have really changed the cell phone industry.  Over the past few years, Straight Talk, TracFone, and Metro PCS have added or changed their prepaid plans to make them more viable for more people.

The biggest change we have seen is the gradual shift over to prepaid plans.  Sure, prepaid phone plans have been around since we started using cell phones, but they have only become truly viable for the population at large in recent times.  A few years ago, prepaid phones were seen as “less than” or not as good as other plans.  They were even seen as having something to do with illegal activity as characters on The Sopranos and other mafia movies would often speak on untraceable (since there is no contract) prepaid phones.

That has all changed.  A weak economy with a lot of joblessness will jolt people out of their assumptions very quickly.  The truth is that prepaid plans save people a lot of money.  Four of the top providers are TracFone, Straight Talk, MetroPCS, and Boost Mobile.  Read a review of these wireless companies.  Learn more about MetroPCS at MetroPCS.com.
