I absolutely love my Samsung R451 from Straight Talk, I love to text and this phone is made for texters. Even more than that I love the price, $45 per month for unlimited talk, texts and data on Verizon’s network nationwide is better than every other plan I looked at.
That’s a good phone but I have the Finesse, a Straight Talk smartphone, on on the Verizon network. Bought it at Walmart and it’s an amazing deal. Very cool and paying only $45 a month for unlimited everything is the best deal going!

I almost bought the r451c, but I too opted for the Finesse because I was interested in an affordable Smart Phone. Either way, I still find Straight Talk to be a great and affordable buy without dealing with huge bills or contracts. I am on the $45 unlimited use plan and I am now able to save more than $50 a month versus my previous carrier. I have all the benefits of the Verizon calling network without the hassle of a contract. Any way you think about it, Straight Talk is a well priced and dependable deal.
I agree with Kimberly!I have just got to say how great Straight Talk has been for me. I recently had At&t ( an iphone) which I loved! But I was paying over a hundred dollars a month! So I got the Samsung Finesse from Straight Talk which is pretty much the exact same thing as an Iphone. BUT FOR 45 dollars a month!!! AND its unlimited texting, minutes, and data! It’s just unreal! First off- there is no contract which is JUST AMAZING but the service is fantastic. It is on the Verizon network so you really get the best of two worlds. Joining Straight Talk was the best thing ever.

I use to have the finess through t-mobile and it was called the samsung behold, but anyways. The back of mine was pink and really cute. R they like this through straight talk as well? or r they just plain silver on the back?
Yeah, for Straight Talk the Samsung Finesse is just plain silver on the back.
This phone isn’t bad for text and calling if you’re just into the basics. I loved the price I was paying with Straight Talk but thought that I wanted to move into the smartphone territory so I was about to leave and (gulp) sign a contract. Then they came out with the Nokia 6790. Hooray!
@dreskel4 – What do you think of the Nokia 6790? I’ve heard more people going for the Nokia E71, but both seem to be doing pretty well as Straight Talk smart phone options.
I agree that the Samsung R451c is more of a basic phone, but not bad at all.
