Tabatha – I don’t think the Samsung Finesse is available currently in any market. I have heard of some people buying the Finesse on ebay and using it with Straight Talk, but I definitely can’t recommend that. It would have to be a straight talk model and sim card. I think you’re better off waiting for the new smartphone, if and when it ever gets released.

How do I go about finding a Straight Talk Samsung Finesse in the Savannah, GA. area? I have searched local walmarts and nothing I really need a new phone ASAP and most the other phones just plain suck. Thanks

I just received one of these as a gift and it is a very good phone! While it is not a direct competitior for the iPhone types out there, it is certainly a pleasure to use. Of course, it’s like you said – the Straight Talk plans makes this a very good deal. The $45 unlimited plan is really the best deal out there right now and it’s great to have a smarter phone to use. I really think ST is onto something with these more high end phones. A lot of people, myself included, like the monthly savings but still want a smartphone.

I got a Samung Finesse for Christmas with unlimited talk, texts and data for $45 per month on Straight Talk and I love it. I think it’s just as nice as the iPhone at a third of the price; when you consider that the iPhone is $150 per month you would pay $3600 over two years including service and phone and with Straight Talk I pay $1379 over two years including service and phone then it’s really not that expensive. And Straight Talk is on Verizon’s network nationwide which we all know is far better than AT&T, at least I don’t have to worry about dropped calls and no 3G.
