Barnes & Noble e-Reader First Pictures
Barnes & Noble will soon be releasing an e-reader to compete with the likes of Amazon's Kindle and Sony's e-reader device. The new device contains some features similar to the iPhone and the Kindle, and has the welcome addition of a light to help ease the wear and tear on the eyes while reading in the dark.
The new device, which has a tentative name at the moment that might change before it's released, will have a multi-touch screen that utilizes e-ink like the Kindle. Owners of Barnes & Noble's e-reader will have access to all books, but also to the books published by B&N, which will probably be lower-priced. In addition, users will be able to access scanned books on Google, which are mostly out of print books.
The handheld reader's relatively low price may be offset by books sales. Here are a few pictures released by Gizmodo.
