It turns out this woman was just pretending to be a nurse in a local doctor’s office.
Dr. Gerald Weiss believed that Betty Lichtenstein was a registered nurse, especially after she was named the Connecticut Nursing Association‘s “Nurse of the Year” in 2008.
It turns out the Association doesn’t exist. The woman spent $2,000 staging a dinner in her own honor, where she gave herself the award.
